Click Start > Settings > ControlPanel.
If no not have a this menu option, you may also access the Connection Wizard
from the Control Panel where you'll double-click on Network and Dial-up
Connections, and double-click on the Make New Connection icon.

Double-click on the Make New Connection icon. |

Click the Networking(view)
tab.
Select PPP: Internet, Windows 2000/NT, Windows ME for "Type of
Dial-Up Server"
Check "Enable software compression", and
Check "TCP/IP" (checked only these two boxes) |

Click TCP/IP Settings(view)
Select Server Assigned IP Address.
Select Server Assigned Name Server Addresses.
(Primary WINS and Secondary WINS remain as zero's)
Check "Use IP header compression"
Check "Use default gateway on remote network".
Click OK

Click on the Security
(view) tab.
For User name enter your dial-in user name. This will
begin with a capital "P" then your user name. For instance, Pjsmith. The
capital "P" lets our system know you are a dial-up user. (This field is case
sensitive)
For Password, enter your password. (This is case
sensitive)
Make sure the Domain field is blank.
(If you want the dialer to automatically connect for you without
confirmation, check the Connect automatically box. All other
boxes on this screen should NOT be checked.)
click OK button.

Click the Dialing(view)
tab.
Check "This is the default Internet Connection"
Select "Dial whenever a network connection is not present.
Click OK button. |

Start your internet application such as Internet Explorer or
Netscape browser. The Dialer should automatically come up for you and connect. |
