Windows 2000 Dial-Up Setup

This document describes the setup of the TCP/IP stack in Windows 2000 to connect with Infintiy AccessNet. Follow the instructions below to run the New Connection Wizard and configure your connection.

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications > New Connection Wizard.
If no not have a this menu option, you may also access the Connection Wizard from the Control Panel ^(view) where you'll double-click on Network and Dial-up Connections, and double-click on the Make New Connection icon. ^(view)

When you get ^(view)

the welcome screen, click Next button.

Select,^(view)

Dial-up to the Internet.

Select ^(view)

I want to set up my Internet connection manually.., and click Next button.

Select ^(view)

I connect through a phone line and a modem, and click Next button.

Windows ^(view)

will attempt to detect a modem or you may check the checkbox and press Next to select you own modem.

Select ^(view)

your modem and click Next button.

Enter ^(view)

your dial-up information:
Area code: 952
Telephone number: 2535324
click Next button.

For ^(view) User name enter your dial-in user name. This will begin with a capital "P" then your user name. For instance, Pjsmith. The capital "P" lets our system know you are a dial-up user. This field is case sensitive.

For Password, enter your password. This is case sensitive, and
click Next button.

Enter ^(view) Infinity for Connection name, and click Next button.
