Tut's Network Extension products utilize Tut's FastCopper™ technology to unlock the bandwidth potential of the existing copper-based communications infrastructure and extend Ethernet networks across corporate and educational campuses, and other multi-LAN premises without requiring the installation of additional wires or fiber optic cable.

Tut Systems’ LAN extension cover every need of an extended Ethernet network; from 50Mbps to 2.3 Mb at distances between 1000 ft and 27,000 ft.

XL-5050, XL-1010, and the XL-1503 operate as a Plug-n-Play transparent bridge, while the XL-4000 and MXL-2300 offer IP routing and filtering capabilities in addition to SNMP and telnet management.

Network Extension at up 50 Mbps

• All Tut XL products transmit with symmetrical bandwidth; meeting the requirements of a “true Ethernet” extender
• XL-5050 integrates easily with existing 10/100Mbps Ethernet networks by transmitting up to 50Mbps over any grade UTP at distances up to 1000ft.
• For greater distance at full 10Mbps, select XL-4000 with routing and management capabilities, or the new XL-1010 reaching 10,000 ft on any grade UTP.
• For maximum reach with a managed network, MXL-2300 offers 2.3 Mbps with routing and management capabilities.
  

Uses Existing Wiring Infrastructure

• XL-5050, XL-4000, XL-1503, and MXL-2300 utilize only one pair of copper wires.
• XL-1010 bonds two pairs of copper wire to achieve a whopping 10Mbps at 10,000 ft.
• XL-5050 can share the same wire pair as analog POTs telephone service.

Superior Noise Rejection Circuitry

• All XL products can be used right out of the box – no configuration necessary
• XL4000 and MXL-2300 offer routing and remote management capabilities for enhanced network management.
